Steel Magnolias

POSTPONED to fall 2020

In light of the updated recommendations from the Arizona Department of Health Services to "cancel or postpone mass gatherings with 50 or more people," and taking into account the DFT Advisory Board's decision to respond to heightened awareness and recommendations, we are sorry to report that we must postpone the opening of Steel Magnolias.

The Steel Magnolia's cast, director and crew have dedicated  many hours of planning, preparation, rehearsal, set building, costuming and more to this production. It is truly going to be an amazing show and we have every intention of opening at a future date when circumstances allow. Date discussions are currently underway.

To current Steel Magnolia ticket holders:

As you can imagine, canceling events puts quite a financial strain on non-profit theaters and Desert Foothills Theater is no different. In this light, our hope is that you will first consider the following options before requesting a refund of your Steel Magnolia tickets:

  •  Donate all or part of your ticket price to the theater, allowing us to compensate our working artists, cover incurred production expenses and continue serving our community once this crisis has passed.
  • Opt for a credit to your account for future ticket purchase for this show.
  • Request that your ticket purchase be exchanged for tickets to Godspell in May 2020.

We will, of course, refund your tickets to this show if this is your preference but appreciate your consideration of other options.

All requests can be sent to dftinfo@azfcf.org or you can call the Box Office at (480) 488-1981. Please note that we are a "small but mighty" theater staff and will return your calls and process requests as soon as possible!
