Who we Are
Desert Foothills Theater is an award-winning theater that has been presenting work in the north valley since 1975. Theater changes lives and we invite all community members to be part of that life-changing experience by providing performance, volunteer, education and attendance opportunities for everyone!
We invite participation through open auditions for all adult and youth shows; through a variety of educational opportunities including classes, camps, post-performance talkbacks, pre-performance "meet ups"; and by providing volunteer opportunities in all areas and aspect of theater production. We provide training and support for those interested in learning more about backstage work and we do it all in a positive, welcoming and supportive environment.
We invite you to experience the life-changing world of theater with us.
DFT welcomes all members of the community as we challenge, inspire, educate, and entertain through theater arts.
A community in which everyone is touched by live theater.
Diversity and Inclusion are guiding values in all aspects of our theater – for actors, directors, volunteers, technicians, playwrights, educators, students, board members, staff and audiences. Desert Foothills Theater strives to provide opportunities for everyone, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or genetic information, ethnicity, cultural, socioeconomic background or physical ability. If someone has an interest in theater, learning, performing, creating, teaching or supporting Desert Foothills Theater, they are welcome and embraced with whole-heartedness.
